- the wedding (of course) which was one of the best I’ve ever attended.
- meeting an old friend of my dads: his feisty 99-year-old ex-high school librarian whom refers to my dad only as "the don." they love to talk books and world events.
- The spectacular setting of our resort (which was also the place of the wedding) on Little Shuswap.
- seeing TONS of family I haven’t seen in a while.
- the drive there and back with my parents which was made easier with the help of travel books, novels, wedding magazines, old ricky gervais podcasts, yo la tengo, and our stunning Canadian backdrop of rockies and prairies.

SPRING BREAK

haven't posted much - schoolwork is to blame.
but today, as an afternoon study break, i took a little walk outside,
and i just happened to encounter one of my favourite things...

walking on "crackle-ice", the kind that cracks when you step on it because it's already melted from underneath...
it's the same joy you get out of ordering the perfect creme brulee,
only this time - no calories!

enjoy spring... i'll see you on the flip-side, when school's out!

baby, it's cold outside...

what keeps me warm:
- homemade hot cocoa
- dreaming up wedding invitations
- warm winter knits and cozy moccasin slippers
- countless cups of earl grey tea
- baking cookies and cupcakes
- an old classic novel
